This book reproduces Don Ed Hardy's painting, 2000 Dragons, a work that evokes the tradition of classic Chinese and Japanese narrative scroll painting. The painting was created to mark the Millennium; a Dragon year in the Asian zodiac. Hardy painted the piece in five-foot sections continuously until completed; only five feet of the working surface was visible at a time. Painted spontaneously, with no preparatory drawing, the original work, in acrylic and colored pencil, measures 51 inches by 500 feet.
