Between 1940 and 1973, Norman 'Sailor Jerry' Collins became known as one of the greatest practitioners of classic American tattooing. Sailor Jerry tattooed for many years, mostly in his small shop in Honolulu, Hawaii until his death in 1973. These designs have become the foundation of traditional tattoos seen today.
